The LBA is a Networking, Education & Knowledge Sharing Organization

The Latin Builders Association is a networking, education, and knowledge sharing organization for builders, developers, contractors, architects, engineers, plumbers, electricians and tradesmen associated with the business of construction in South Florida.  Since its establishment in 1971 by a group of local subcontractors, LBA has strived to provide a vital forum for discussion, networking, training / development, and representation at the local and state level for all key players of the construction industry.

A prominent organization, LBA has welcomed numerous guests to speak at well publicized member events. These guests, both from within the construction industry and outside of it, reflect LBA’s influence in the region.  On January 27, the LBA welcomed several GOP frontrunners at an event in Miami just days before the Florida Republican Primary.

Today, it is the largest Hispanic construction association in the United States, with over 650 member companies representing every aspect of South Florida’s vibrant construction industry and most of the area’s related business concerns.  The LBA’s core goal is to represent and further the interests of the South Florida Community, the local building industry, and the individuals and companies that strive day after day to make South Florida a better place to live, work and play.

The website was built with the ability for LBA staff to keep the site up to date. Being built on the wordpress platform, the site allows for easy scalability of new features. A new feature implemented in the system is the ability to have an event calendar with event registration capabilities.

Not only does the LBA team provide support services and communicate to the membership through weekly and monthly newsletters, they also publish an official magazine.  Founded in 1974, PROYECTO Magazine is a trade publication with a social aspect and is distributed throughout South Florida to member and non-member companies. Additionally, the magazine can be found at popular locations throughout the region including banks, municipalities, restaurants, doctor’s offices and other prime locations.  It can also be read online at www.lbaorg.com

Proyecto is read by decision makers and business leaders in all sectors of the construction industry and features editorials by industry leaders and current events from LBA members and members of our community.
