RK HydroVac, Inc. is a specialized service company dedicated to providing a clean and safe environment in all commercial, industrial, and municipal job sites.

With over 30 years industry experience, RK HydroVac is dedicated to quality work, customer service excellence, and providing the safest, cleanest, and most efficient commercial roof vacuuming and industrial cleaning services available for all commercial, industrial, and municipal job sites.

RK HydroVac was founded in 1981 in Covington, Ohio. Initially much of the work was roof preparation, and was performed manually. This was hard work, low production and an extremely dirty environment, but through constant research and development of their equipment and technique, RK has taken the roof preparation business into the 21st century with modern technology that was developed in-house.

These advances have enhanced the quality of service to all of their customers, while providing a quality environment for their employees and a cleaner and safer environment for the customers. Due to such achievements, and by recognizing and meeting the needs of their customers, the name RK HydroVac has become synonymous with quality service.

How Kompani Group helped

The initial engagement was to take the RK HydroVac website from a very old design to a new and responsive website that now performs equally well on desktop and mobile devices. There are a number of interesting elements on the site that are beyond “average” website requirements. One example addresses RK’s national service capabilities, while taking into account the fact that independent regional offices are responsible for their own estimating. Thus, rather than directing potential customers to local independent websites (which is not good for web traffic or search engine rankings), we offered customers the ability to select their job site by clicking on a map, and then routing the ‘Request for Quote’ information to the appropriate regional office.

Something similar happens for the careers section where prospective employees can apply to regional offices, or indicate that they would be willing to relocate for the new position.

Given the fact that applicants are submitting sensitive information, we also implemented additional security measures and even provided an interface for applicants to “sign” the applications as they complete it, using their mouse, or on touchscreen devices with their finger or a stylus. The signature can then be printed onto a PDF which can be submitted to former employers or credit agencies as consent for background checks.

To help optimize their search engine results, we helped enhance their website content in both positioning and segmenting, and through copywriting. Their new home page highlights case studies that show just how impressive RK HydroVac’s capabilities are. While this may not be the best solution for all companies, it was ideal for RK.
